FAQ
-
Each decoration creates a different effect and is used in a different way:
- Aqua Pigment — concentrated liquid pigment. Added to the mixture before casting to uniformly color the entire base.
- Aqua Chips — decorative flakes. Added to the mixture or directly into the mold for an authentic terrazzo effect.
- Aqua Glitter — fine glitter. Mixed into the base or sprinkled onto the still-wet surface for a shimmering effect.
- Gold/Silver Leaf — decorative leaf flakes. Applied to the wet or dry surface for precious, gilded details.
- Aqua Metal — liquid metallic paint. Applied with a brush to the dry surface for precise metallic details. Should not be mixed into the base.
-
Yes, it's one of the range's strengths. You can combine Aqua Pigment and Aqua Chips for a colourful terrazzo effect, Aqua Glitter and Gold Leaf for a precious result, or use Aqua Metal on the details of an object already coloured with Pigment. Always test on a small amount before proceeding with a complete project.
-
It depends on the desired effect. In general: start with little decoration and gradually add more. For liquid pigments, a few drops are enough for intense shades. For Chips and Glitter, one teaspoon per 100g of base is a good starting point. For Gold Leaf, apply with a dry brush to the area you want to cover.
-
Yes, it's best to take a few precautions. Aqua Pigment is a highly concentrated liquid pigment: on contact with fabrics, wood and porous surfaces it can leave stains that are hard to remove. Before you start, cover your work surface with a plastic sheet or baking paper and wear an apron or clothes you don't mind getting dirty. We also recommend gloves to keep your hands clean. If a drop lands on a smooth surface, wipe it off immediately with a damp cloth: fresh pigment comes off easily, but once dry it's much harder to remove.

Aqua Pigment pigments are ideal for a variety of creative projects, including resin jewelry, home decor, artwork, and personalized items. Your imagination is the only limit!
-
Aqua Pigment, Aqua Chips, and Aqua Glitter are also compatible with plaster, Jesmonite, and similar water-based materials. Aqua Metal is compatible with any porous mineral surface that is already dry. Aqua Shield protects any plaster or Aqua Resin creation regardless of the decorations used.
-
Yes. The entire Aqua Resin decoration range is non-toxic, odourless and solvent-free — with the exception of Aqua Metal, which contains alcohol and should be used in well-ventilated areas. All others are ideal for home creative activities, even with children under adult supervision.
-
